Home / Market

A young market,
and its last mile.

We do not write industry reports. This is what we see on the ground: which categories still have room, and where the money leaks.

01Structure

Three structural facts

240M

Population and age

The fifth most populous country, median age around 20. New smartphone and accessory users keep coming, and so does demand for local services.

COD

Cash on delivery dominates

Cash on delivery still dominates online orders. Refunds and rejects land on the seller — this is a fulfilment and risk problem, not a payments one.

2

Demand is concentrated

Lahore and Islamabad carry most of the online spend and retail footprint. Doing two cities properly beats spreading thin.

Figures are public estimates. Sources and years are cited on this page before launch.

Where 3C still has room

CategoryState of playOur read
TWS earbudsFast growth, fragmented supply, low brand concentrationRoom in the mainstream band; the battle is detail pages and returns
Fast chargersMany white-label sellers, low trustCertification and safety storytelling beats price wars
CablesVery high frequency, very low ticketGood for acquisition and repeat, not for carrying margin
Power banksDriven by travel and device replacementCapacity plus fast charge is the easiest story to sell
03Risk

Four risks we admit

  • Currency. Rupee movement eats thin margins. Pricing has to carry a buffer.
  • Payments. Digital wallets are still early; the route money takes needs designing up front.
  • Policy. Tariffs and certification requirements change. Keep alternatives per SKU.
  • Fulfilment. Last-mile quality varies — which is why we do it ourselves.
Islamabad city fabric and arterial roads
Pakistan is not a market you win by being cheap. What it lacks is the last stretch that puts goods, money and service into people's hands. That stretch is what we do. DiyaCT management view · 2026
